Rich Hall's BLOG: My Girls

  • Al Dean · 9 months ago
    Hey Rich

Love this post. I guess what it shows is that all this stuff that gets discussed at length and often ad naseum in the twitter verse, when it comes down to brass tacks and real life, none of it really matters and this, these beautiful girls you have, are what really matters in life.

    Thanks Al,
They do matter more than anything and that's why it took so long to get a post up. Everytime I tried to write about them I got so emotional I couldn't finish. A lot different than writing about technical stuff and work. I hope to have some more posts up about them later.

great, great post richard! you have an absolutely adorable family! it is hard to "just believe and go with the flow" at times but in the end He is in control and will take care of us!

thanks for sharing your story with us.

    Jason,
You're right about Him being in control. This has been a great ride so far and might not be over yet. We'll see!

Great Post. A couple of comments, first picture - no matter what you buy the kids to play with the box is aways better. Julie's birthdate made me smile as it the same day as my children (different year - 1991) I did say children as I have 17 year old triplets. Your story reminds me of my childhood growing up. My fathers sister (my Aunt) could,nt have children, so I grew up with 4 adopted cousins (one of Chinese background) then at age 40 they had there own natural baby. (Named: Faith) Again great post great family.

Thanks for sharing your story as well Michael. Triplets! Wow and I thought one was bad enough while still in diapers! haha Nice story about adoption as well.

Great post, Rich! I know I commented on Twitter, but thought I would add my 2cents here too. Thanks for opening up and sharing some of your personal side. We too often hide behind our avatars and just let enough out to make people think we are human. But this story, it shows the human struggle, the parenting decisions, the results of love and the Master's plan. May He richly bless as you be the father to you wonderful family. Thanks again for sharing.

    Rich,
That is way cool. Adopted children are a real gift indeed. My parents were told that they couldn't have children, so after having gotten me at 3 mos of age, they were pregnant with my sister 3 yrs later and then again (unexpectedly) 7 yrs later.
Awesome story Rich. Thanks for sharing.
Your brother of no relation. :-)

"What do you do with three beautiful, happy, smart daughters? Well I guess you love and take care of them." -- That's probably the smartest thing I've heard anyone say all day. Kids are the best. Sounds like you have your priorities in the right place. Your girls are beautiful.

    Matt,
I don't know how smart it is but it's from the heart. Children are one of Gods greatest gifts and our responsibilities should never be taken for granted. This is one of the driving forces behind my life and my drive towards education. Thanks for your comment and reading my blog.

    Rich,
I just wanted to thank you for the glimpse into your family. You have a great group of girls there, my friend. Belated congratulations and enjoy the ride. Parenthood is nothing, if not exciting.
